This made me cry because it happens way too often.
I love that I allowed one of my daughters to have police cars, robots and Tonka trucks because that is what she wanted. She has grown up into a wonderful, caring, nurturing mother, so the ‘boy’ toys did not have a negative affect on her. All it did was make her childhood happier as she got to play with her choice of toys. I am pleased to say she has allowed one of her sons to have a doll which he has nurtured since he was very little and at 11 still has it on his bed. When he is a grown up, he to will be happy that he was allowed to have a choice in his chosen gifts.

Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go
for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused ..

As for advice to start your own, I think it depends on the purpose of your blog, how serious you are about it, and how much time you have on your hands. If it’s just a hobby, then maybe a free platform is for you, if you’re more serious, you may want to look at investing some money into it. I didn’t have enough time to work out how to set up a website, so I enlisted someone to do it for me. It is certainly confusing, which is another reason I enlisted help. I found someone on the Upwork freelancer app to create this website for me, and I’m so glad I did. It looks a lot better than what I could have done myself, and I’m now able to maintain it myself and add my blogs. Best of luck with your writing.
